Meet The Team

Keluntang
Founder & Farmer
In August of 2020, Keluntang connect with Mike on LinkedIn. They formed a mentorship program, and it eventually turned into Link of Life Farm. Keluntang manages day to day farm activities, oversees all farming operations from seed to distribution and plans annual charitable giving events. He is passionate about agriculture and sees farming as a way for a community to uplift themselves. His vision is to promote modern agricultural techniques in order to fight against hunger and poverty. His mission is simple: Grow Food. Feed People. Give Back.

Bakary
Co-Founder & Farmer
Bakary Manneh is a Co-Founder of Link of Life Farm and is Keluntang's older brother. He handles internal & external communication for the farm. As the elder son, Bakary was left a small parcel of land from their father who was a subsistence farmer. Bakary's background is in construction, but his heart is on the farm. He learned about farming at an early age and it has always been an important part of his life. He hopes that the farm will make a positive impact on peoples' health by providing a variety of fresh organic produce. If you know Bakary, you know he loves to make people laugh. When he's not on the farm, he is also a volunteer pastor for the New Apostolic Church in The Gambia. Bakary is married to his wife Emily and they have 5 children.

Almamy
Co-Founder & Farmer
Almamy Bah is a Co-Founder of Link of Life Farm and handles farm operations. He manages relationships with our vendors and oversees all construction related activity on site. He believes agriculture is a source of life and sustainability & loves working on the farm. In addition to farming, Almamy is a construction professional with over 15 years of experience teaching, designing plans, supervising building construction, estimating, & managing crews. Almamy is also currently a lecturer at GTTI (Gambia Technical Training Institute) teaching construction Technology, Material Science, Technical Drawing and Building Maintenance. He holds a diploma in Construction Technology from GTTI. He is also a contractor in The Gambia and serves as the CEO of MBALBEH Construction.

Mike
Mentor & Advisor
Mike is an Executive Director living in Tampa, FL and has over 30 years' experience in the Medical Device / Life Sciences Industry. He first connected with Keluntang on LinkedIn in August of 2020, and they soon began a mentorship program together (with Sonya) that has led us to the development and creation of Link of Life Farm, which was Keluntang's main goal in life. Please follow our story and progress, as we aim to uplift Keluntang, Bakary, Almamy and the people of Massembeh Village by providing fresh water and fruits and vegetables. We Rise by Lifting Others.

Sonya
Marketing & Advisor
Sonya is a sales and marketing professional with 13 years of experience in the medical device/ biologics industry. At Link of Life Farm, she coordinates all marketing related activities and events. Sonya and Keluntang met through Mike's mentorship program back in August of 2020. Since meeting Keluntang, she has learned so much about The Gambia, it's people & culture. She has enjoyed the business planning aspect of Link of Life Farm and learned about farming along the way.

Kecia
Communications & Advisor
Kecia is a US based Communications Advisor. She acts as a trusted resource to plan, build and run programs that bring positive change. She loves working with organizations doing great things in business and the community. Kecia enjoys her work with Link of Life Farm The Gambia, and appreciates all of the development opportunities that this farming project brings to Massembeh Village.
